FAO Schwarz Wolf Evolution

As a regular visitor of the NYC FAO Schwarz I've come to witness this guy sell out one year and come back looking very different another. If you're after FAO's 18" wolf and you collect plushies online, you may want a physical photo of the product you're getting, because there are notable differences in quality between them.

Leftmost wolf - 2007, The softest with the plushiest fur pile and a leatherette nose. This one's actually become quite difficult to find, never mind for a good price.

Middle wolf - 2011, Is like a completely bootleg knockoff of the 2007 one. Huge downgrade in quality of fabric and filling, feels rigid and rough compared to first with cheap minky nose. Apparent why FAO had an abundance of these they marked down to dirt cheap toward the end. I advise to either avoid or not pay too much.

Rightmost wolf - 2013, A return to higher quality but completely redesigned to resemble WWF wolf plushes. The coat is now gray and the black tail tip is gone. The nose is a real-ish hard plastic one, and it's muzzle is the largest with the biggest widest mouth-smile. First wolf to include FAO's posterior metal button all the new ones have. Current model, worthwhile if you like this look to your wolves.

Wish I could say there's word on a return of the FAO fox, but alas.
